CNAS SCHOLARS FELLOWS
Students that successfully complete the CNAS Learning Community program and have a strong interest in a research career are encouraged to apply for a paid, summer research position with a CNAS faculty member as a participant in RISE as a CNAS Scholars Fellow for the summer following their first year. Whether pioneering sustainability, developing drug delivery mechanisms, or exploring life's evolution on a molecular level, UCR is discovering new answers to many of the 21st century’s greatest questions. The CNAS Learning Community program continues this essential part of academic development by encouraging our scholars to perform scientific research in the summer after their first year at UCR. To find out more, you'll want to attend one of our info sessions, or schedule a meeting (see below). We will select students based on their Academic Performance through Winter quarter, their application, research proposal and the letter of support from their faculty mentor.
CNAS Scholars Fellows will receive a $5,000 stipend, and will present their research at the end of the program. CNAS Scholars Fellows also serve as the front face of student recruitment and engagement to the FSLC program!
